AutoCAD Drafter – Casework / Millwork

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Snelling is partnering with a well-established casework manufacturer in downtown Louisville to add an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to their team. This is a hands-on drafting role supporting high-volume, quick-turn projects for nationally recognized retail environments. We’re looking for someone confident in their craft—able to step in, understand project requirements, and produce accurate, build-ready drawings from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings in AutoCAD derived from architectural plans and project specifications.
• Apply practical knowledge of casework/millwork construction standards to ensure drawings are accurate and production-ready.
• Revise and update drawings based on customer notes, redlines, or engineering changes.
• Coordinate closely with internal engineering as well as customer teams on new concepts, prototypes, and custom requests.
• Maintain accurate project data and documentation throughout the drafting and production process.
• Provide clear, complete drawings that support efficient fabrication in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on drafting experience; ability to work independently after initial onboarding.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to interpret and draft from architectural blueprints.
• Previous experience producing drawings for casework, millwork, cabinetry, display fixtures, or similar manufacturing environments (highly preferred).
• Solid problem-solving ability and comfort working under tight deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with 3D modeling, Microvellum, or other CAD/CAM software
