Industrial Equipment Technician

Snelling Staffing – Louisville, KY

Pay: $26–$30/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Snelling is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Technician to join one of our premier industrial service partners. This senior-level role combines hands-on mechanical work with field leadership, mentoring, and customer-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, leadership ability, and experience servicing industrial equipment in fast-paced environments.

• Rolling Steel Doors
• Industrial Fans
• Air Curtains

Key Responsibilities Field Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead technicians on job sites, offering guidance and technical direction.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and developing field technicians.
• Support workflow coordination and scheduling with the Operations Manager.
• Promote safety, professionalism, and strong customer service standards.

Technical Duties

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment.
• Perform installations following manufacturer and company specifications.
• Handle advanced diagnostics and complex service calls.
• Conduct final quality checks on installations and repairs.

Operational Support

• Maintain accurate electronic service records.
• Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to maximize field efficiency.
• Coordinate with parts, sales, and service departments.
• Assist in prioritizing service requests based on customer needs.

Customer & Company Representation

• Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.
• Serve as a point of escalation when concerns arise.
• Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• 3–5 years industrial, dock, door, or mechanical repair experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical, hydraulic, and welding experience a plus
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at heights up to 40 feet
• Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills
