Job Description:

An established and growing employer in the recycling sector is seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of HR operations at our local facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to make an impact.

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and HR-related inquiries
• Assist with recruitment efforts, onboarding, and orientation for new hires
• Maintain HRIS systems and employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a liaison with providers
• Support management with performance reviews, corrective action, and policy enforcement
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Coordinate safety initiatives, training programs, and employee engagement activities
• Support payroll processing in coordination with the finance department

Human Resource Generalist Requirements:

• 2+ years of HR experience in a generalist or coordinator capacity (manufacturing or industrial experience preferred)
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HRIS systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
