Shifts Available:
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Description
Snelling is currently seeking skilled Laser/Press Brake Operators to join a reputable fabrication company in [City, State]. The position involves operating laser cutting and press brake machinery to fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Occasional travel may be required for service and installation work at Navy facilities throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate components using tools such as lasers, water jets, plate rollers, grinders, drill presses, and press brakes (experience on all tools not required to start).

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, charts, and diagrams.

Operate hoists, drills, hand tools, holding devices, cutters, and power tools safely and effectively.

Replace worn machine accessories such as cutting tools, blades, and brushes.

Conduct quality inspections to ensure all fabricated parts meet required specifications.

Maintain equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.

(Optional) Perform installation and maintenance work aboard Navy ships at various U.S. locations.
Requirements

1–3+ years of experience operating CNC lasers and/or press brakes preferred.

Strong knowledge of fabrication tools, materials, and methods.

Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals accurately.

High attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

Dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work in standing positions and confined spaces as needed.

Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Frequent overtime may be available.
