About the Role

Snelling is seeking experienced Dermatology Medical Assistants to join our team. This role is dedicated to supporting dermatologists in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, specialty practice.

As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will work directly alongside our dermatologists during patient visits, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a positive patient experience. Candidates must have previous dermatology-specific experience to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Accompany dermatologist into exam rooms and assist throughout patient visits.
• Record patient medical history, dermatologic concerns, treatment plans, and test results using ScribeEMR.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms for dermatology procedures and treatments.
• Interview patients, gather dermatology-specific medical information, and record vitals.
• Prepare patients for procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic treatments.
• Administer medications and treatment applications as directed by the dermatologist.
• Provide clear patient instructions for post-treatment and skincare regimens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required
• Dermatology Medical Assistant experience required – applicants without dermatology background will not be considered
• Phlebotomy and Injection experience required
• Strong knowledge of dermatology procedures, terminology, and skincare treatments
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
• Professional, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a clinical setting
• Excellent communication and time management skills
