Snelling is seeking a Forklift Operator- Warehouse Clerk for a building supply company in Louisville, KY. The responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within a warehouse.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise
• Process credits from customers as directed
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
• Uses forklift to load or unload materials in the facility
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
• Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area or shipping area
• Record amount of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate method
• Assist in the counting of physical inventory
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
• Sweep, dust, and mop as needed
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment;
• Perform other required tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least three (3) months of experience preferred;
• Ability to drive a forklift;
• Ability to work in severe weather conditions, both hot and cold;
• Must present a positive and professional appearance;
• Ability to work weekends as needed;
• Excellent customer service skills.
