Credentialing Assistant

 

Immediate full time opening with a large clinic near Essen Lane in Baton Rouge! Will assist the Credentialing department supervisor with medical credentialing for providers and therapists. Full time with excellent benefits!

 

Credentialing Assistant duties:

  • Assist Credentialing department supervisor as needed
  • Processes and submits all initial applications for medical/allied health professional staff appointments.
  • Processes and submits all medical/allied health professional staff reappointments.
  • Maintains an up-to-date provider license schedule including licenses, drug enforcement administration certificates, and renewal period expiration dates.
  • Maintains organized credential files.
  • Verifies medical/allied health staff licenses for initial appointment, reappointment, license renewal, and temporary privileges.

Credentialing Assistant Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with the credentialing process helpful
  • Good communication, customer service, and organizational skills required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Minimum of two(2) years in healthcare-related field desired.
